Robotic Welding Cube — Fixed-Fixture Robotic MIG Welding Cell
The Robotic Welding Cube is a compact, fully enclosed robotic weld cell built around two fixed load stations. While the robot welds inside one bay, the operator safely unloads/loads parts in the other. The result is high arc-on time, repeatable weld quality, and a clean workflow that suits production environments where consistency matters.
What the welding cube does
The cube automates MIG welding on fixed jigs/fixtures in two alternating bays. The robot completes programmed weld sequences in one bay while the operator prepares the next job in the other bay. This keeps the cell moving without compromising operator safety or weld repeatability.
How it works (process)
- Load & clamp: operator loads parts into Bay A fixture and confirms ready.
- Automated weld cycle: robot runs the programmed weld path with controlled parameters.
- Parallel operation: while Bay A runs, operator unloads/loads Bay B outside the active weld zone.
- Bay swap: once the weld cycle completes, the cell enables access and swaps to the next bay.
- Repeat: continuous alternating workflow keeps the robot welding and reduces idle time
Key features
- Dual-bay configuration for continuous production workflow
- Fixed fixtures for repeatable part location and consistent weld paths
- Fully enclosed cell with weld-arc protection and interlocked access
- Operator status system (light tower / alarms) for readiness and material/outage prompts
- Teach pendant control with straightforward operator interaction
- Power source options to suit process requirements and duty cycle
- Built to applicable AU/NZ safety expectations with guarding, interlocks, and risk-based design
Applications
- Fabrication and structural components
- Industrial frames and brackets
- Pipe spools and assemblies
- Production MIG welding for repeatable, high-volume parts
- General manufacturing where consistent weld output is required
Delivery formats
- Standalone welding cell for integration into an existing workshop flow
- Integrated production cell with upstream/downstream material handling, data capture, and inspection (as required)
